I have a special place in my hearts for women who’s motherhood journey has been delayed for one reason or another. Perhaps it’s because I consider myself one of those women, who long to be a mother way before that dream became a sweet reality. The reasons for the delay can vary tremendously from person to person: sometimes it’s because of health related issues, career/ education aspirations, the right partner hasn’t crossed their path yet, their current partner is not onboard or simply just because they weren’t sure that this was the path they were meant to be on. But one things for sure, once it happens, we never take the gift of motherhood for granted! Grace has been a long time family friend and one of those women with a similar journey as mine. Capturing this sweet moment in time was an honor and I am so excited that she too gets to experience all the joys and wonders that motherhood brings! We took her maternity photos on location at the Franklin Lakes Natural Preserve. It was my first time shooting in this location, but it definitely won’t be my last!
