I remember this day so well! Juli was due in the Fall, so she wanted to get her pictures in before she was too far along and it became uncomfortable to do so. So our session fell right in the dead of summer! I tried to schedule most of my outdoor sessions for end of the day right before sunset. But it was the tail end of summer, with only a few weeks left before the season, both she and I wanted to go to the Jersey Shore later that day to enjoy a beach day, so this was one of those very rare early morning sessions. Kingsland Park in Nutley, New Jersey was not only convenient, but it had a variety of easily accessible backdrops within short walking distance, which is ideal for a maternity session/! Hidden in plain sight in front of a shopping plaza, if you’re not paying attention, you’d miss this gem of a place! Juli looked radiant in her maternity gown and although the temperature started warming up quickly, we managed to get many beautiful portraits of this special moment in time.
